In June 2025, we collaborated with andu amet to provide technical guidance at a handbag factory in Ethiopia.
As both companies are B Corp certified, they share a common value and collaborate, as they both aspire to responsible manufacturing that considers society and the environment.
Based on the bag manufacturing expertise cultivated in Japan, I provided practical guidance on sewing techniques, machine adjustment, quality control, and process design.
This training focused on standardizing techniques that previously relied on experience and intuition, and creating a system that ensures reproducible quality for everyone.

December 2025 – Technical Support for the UNFPA Ethiopia Project
In December 2025, UNFPA, the Japanese government, and Itochu Corporation jointly provided two weeks of technical assistance in Ethiopia.
This project aims to support women's dignity and independence through the manufacture of reusable hygiene products and job creation.
On-site, we supported the establishment of a system that enables consistent quality production by improving sewing techniques, quality control, and process design.
